AVIATION PLANNING PROGRAM MANAGER
The Aviation Planning Program Manager will provide leadership and oversight of the aviation planning group for comprehensive campus-wide airport planning including airfield, terminal, landside, land use and economic development planning.To be considered for this position, candidates must possess a combination of education, experience demonstrative knowledge, skills and abilities equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Planning, Aviation, Engineering, or related field and/or fifteen years of general experience in airport facility planning, development, management and policy.Other preferred qualifications include experience in a wide range of disciplines related to airport facility development, management and policy and experience in many diversified aspects of airport planning across landside, terminal and airside.Posting closes April 17, 2017.
AIRPORT OPERATIONS CONTROL CENTER (AOCC) SUPERVISOR
This position is responsible for assisting in all facets of the Airport Operations Control Center (AOCC). The AOCC Supervisor is a working supervisor and will perform all of the duties and responsibilities of both the Dispatcher and the AOCC Specialist. The AOCC Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the AOCC, while assisting the Manager, Airport Communications and Emergency Preparedness with administrative functions, coordinating with Information Technology (IT) on needed repairs for the AOCC equipment, maintaining the Dispatcher and AOCC Specialist schedule, facilitating recurrent training for the Dispatchers and AOCC Specialists, and managing the Dispatcher and AOCC Specialist Quality Assurance Program.
DIRECTOR OF FACILITIES & OPERATIONS
The Meridian Airport Authority is accepting applications for the Director of Facilities & Operations. We are a 50-person progressive and innovative multi-divisional organization which strives to provide superior customer service to all internal and external customers. This position is responsible for ensuring all airport facilities, systems and equipment are maintained in accordance with industry standards and to exceed customer expectations for safety, aesthetics, convenience, reliability and value. The facilities involved are the terminal building and all other Authority-owned buildings, roadways and grounds, and airfield pavements and grounds. The systems and equipment-related components consist of mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems, fire detection and protection, and all Authority-owned vehicles including heavy equipment. This position oversees the activities of in-house trades personnel and outsourced maintenance contracts and includes FAA Part 139 compliance responsibility.
Under the direction of the Director of Business Development at Jackson Municipal Airport Authority, the Properties Manager manages matters related to property and facility development, utilization, services, and general compliance with related JMAA agreements, Policies and Procedures. Serves as the primary program coordinator and point of contact for JMAA’s property management, concessions and advertising programs.
DIRECTOR, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer at Jackson Municipal Airport Authority, the Director, Business Development represent the airports’ interests with business, industry, and property developers to enhance JMAA’s overall business profile, including air service, procurement, property development/management, concessions, and advertising programs. Work involves representing the airport and coordinating with various Economic Development partners to identify and to attract additional diverse air services, airport based businesses and industries. The Director of Business Development participates in various public and private economic development activities including, but not limited to: conceptual program design, development of implementation strategies and schedules, solicitations of public and private developers, economic development planning, budget preparation and inter-governmental coordination, and public information. Responsibilities further involve making recommendations on land use, zoning, and other public or private improvements and utilities which contribute to potential business development.
HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER
The Human Resources (HR) Manager at Jackson Municipal Airport Authority provides administrative and supervisory support for all human resource management activities of the Airport Authority to maximize the strategic use of human resources. The incumbent maintains functions, including, but not limited to regulatory compliance, staff recruitment and retention; wage, salary, and benefits administration; facilitation of performance management; policy and procedure management. It is required that the HR Manager demonstrate initiative in problem resolution and prevention, exercise considerable independent judgment, and provide accurate technical advice to employees and managers in all aspects of human resource management.
