AIRPORT OPERATIONS AGENT
The County of Volusia is seeking an Airport Operations Agent. This position is located at the Daytona Beach International Airport and is responsible for overseeing daily airport operations and activities on a shift basis in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Parts 139, 77, and all appropriate Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requirements. Duties include airfield and terminal inspections, wildlife mitigation, field condition reporting, emergency response, special program management, and public relations. The candidate will perform airside and administrative duties focused on providing a safe operating environment. The candidate will assist the Airport Operations supervisor with the coordination of daily airfield activities related to airfield maintenance, airfield construction projects, aircraft escorting, and wildlife dispersal. The candidate will also issue Notices to Airmen (NOTAM's) for the opening, closing and condition reporting of the airfield when necessary.

Under general supervision, plans and directs the service and business operations, strategic growth, and economic development of the New Braunfels Municipal Airport (BAZ) and Fixed Base Operator, City Terminal Flight Services; assures compliance of airport activities with State and Federal laws and City policies and goals. Reports to the Assistant City Manager. • Directs all Airport operations, airport administrative and line staff, regulatory compliance, security and safety functions, project and grant management and economic development activities. • Posts, enforces, interprets and assures compliance of airport permits, agreements, leases, insurance and other operations comply with safety notices and use regulations from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). • Leads the FBO to deliver excellent customer service to all clients and identify revenue growth opportunities. • Collaborate with TxDOT-Aviation Division officials to identify future development and funding opportunities for growth of the Airport.
SENIOR MANAGER, CONSTRUCTION
Reporting to the Director, Construction, this position is responsible for directing and supervising Authority construction staff, architects, engineers, and support personnel overseeing and inspecting the construction of facilities for the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority’s airport system. The Senior Manager, Construction represents the Authority in the administrative and operational details of ongoing construction activities. The incumbent will ensure all construction projects are proceeding in accordance with the requirements of the project plans and specifications and in accordance with the goals and objectives of the Authority. This position also provides oversight of the communication between Authority Staff, contractors, designers, inspectors and the Authority’s Consulting Engineer on all construction projects; oversight of the schedules of construction for all projects; assures construction phasing, conflicts between contractors and contract compliance issues are addressed; and provides oversight of the status of contract submittals processing and assures prompt action is taken to maintain appropriate response within contract requirements.
AIRPORT OPERATIONS SUPERINTENDENT I/II
Mineta San José International Airport is currently recruiting for an Airport Operations Superintendent. This position will be assigned into the programs within the Airport Operations Division including Airside/Terminal Management, Security, and Landside. Programs within these sections include airfield operations, Manager-On-Duty, noise monitoring, terminal management, public parking, airport shuttle and ground transportation, parking and traffic control, security compliance, airport identification badging, emergency planning, general aviation and Airport Operations Center functions. This position may be required to supervise a large number of staff and requires an individual who can provide a high level of leadership and supervision. Additionally, the position may interact regularly with Airport customers, contractors, tenants, government agencies, and other City departments. Successful candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
