PUBLIC PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP AT THE KENAI MUNICIPAL AIRPORT
The Kenai Municipal Airport and the City of Kenai are seeking qualified applicants to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) outlining their capabilities and expertise in the management, development, and operation of the Alaska Regional Fire Training Center.
The Alaska Regional Fire Training Center is a 23,000 square foot facility situated on 10 acres. It is Alaska's only FAA sponsored Aircraft Rescue Firefighting training center and presents tremendous opportunity to offer additional aviation, industrial, occupational safety, and emergency management training.
In 2020, ENA completed a $6M rehabilitation of the Center and purchased new ARFF apparatus.
This EOI is designed to gauge the level of interest of a public private partnership for a third-party to operate and manage the Alaska Regional Fire Training Center, all associated property, and development of the Center.
