Milwaukee County (the “County”) is seeking proposals from individuals or businesses desiring to lease and operate an aircraft hangar facility at the General Mitchell International Airport (“Airport”). The hangar is steel frame, with metal paneling over concrete block exterior wall, structure constructed in 1956. It has approximately 70,000 square feet of gross floor space including two story office and support facilities sections on two sides of the structure. The hangar or bay area is approximately 50,000 square feet. The hangar roof is a gable metal roof deck on a steel purlin and truss support system. The subject property is a part of the 100-acre Business Park that was formerly the 440th Air Reserve Station until it was closed in 2008. The business park consists of supporting streets and parking areas, full utilities and approximately 20 acres of aircraft parking apron with direct access to the Airport.
