The Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority (North Carolina) is requesting qualifications from professional consultants for the development of a new combined Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) and Airport Operations Center facility at the Raleigh-Durham International Airport. This is not just a “bricks and mortar project.” The Authority intends to bring together various functional aspects of the airport operation (i.e., LE/OPS/ARFF dispatch, parking operations, maintenance control, ramp operations, etc.) into a single, fully integrated, airport operations command center. As such, the consultant team will need specific expertise in defining the business requirements for the facility, conducting a staffing analysis, developing policy, procedures, and training plans, as well as identifying facility requirements necessary to design, construct and commission the facility.
