AIRPORT DIRECTOR - EGE
Eagle County, Colorado is seeking an Airport Director to represent Eagle County in all aviation matters by providing strategic vision for the airport, developing key relationships in the aviation industry, designing marketing strategies, and directing the overall operation of the Eagle County Airport under the general direction of the County Manager. Oversees terminal, operations, maintenance, compliance, safety and administrative activities for the airport.The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Airport Management or a related field. The incumbent will also have five years of progressively responsible experience in the aviation management field at a commercial service airport of similar or larger size. AIRPORT MANAGER/EMERGENCY MANAGER
The Aviation Department which operates the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and the North Perry Airport (HWO) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Emergency Manager. This role includes planning, organizing and directing the activities in the Emergency Management area of the Aviation Department. This class works under administrative supervision, developing and implementing programs within organizational policies and reports major activities to executive level administrators through conferences and reports. The Airport Manager will lead the departmental mission essential function that develops and updates airport emergency plans, Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), fosters a culture of emergency preparedness throughout and beyond the airport community. Requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Aviation Management, Business Administration, Emergency Management or closely related field. Requires four (4) years in airport emergency management or closely related field including one (1) year of supervisory experience.

AIRPORT INSPECTOR/PILOT
Conducts airport inspections and obtains technical information necessary for the planning and construction of TxDOT airport improvement and maintenance projects. Conducts on site investigations to determine the scope of capital improvement projects. Collects data in support of the FAA’s airport master record. Flies airborne reconnaissance of the surrounding environment to determine the impact of new construction on instrument procedures and flight patterns. Performs takeoffs, landings and taxiing to determine adequacy of pavement condition and to observe completed construction and/or renovations. Work requires the ability to pilot a single engine aircraft in the performance of job duties. Work requires contact with governmental officials, consultants, contractors and private entities. Employees at this level establish their own work plan and priorities to meet set objectives. Issues are rarely referred to the supervisor but are handled at the occurrence.
