LANDSIDE OPERATIONS DUTY OFFICER
This is technical work performing landside terminal and grounds inspections to help enforce compliance with Federal safety regulations and airport rules, policies, procedures, leases and agreements. Responds to any emergencies in the terminal and landside. This work requires general knowledge of Part 139 aviation rules and regulations. Contacts require courtesy, tact, skills in understanding and influencing people, and effectiveness in dealing with others. The work is performed following clearly defined regulations, policies and procedures, and involves a variety of situations, requiring the frequent use of judgement in search of solutions. The work is performed in a commercial service airport environment. Operates computers and other standard office equipment. The work is performed under limited supervision subject to regulations, policies and procedures.

SENIOR ENGINEER - SJC
The City of San José’s Aviation Department is seeking a Senior Engineer for the Norman Y. Mineta San José International Airport (SJC) to lead a wide range of professional and para-professional team members who perform a variety multi-discipline airport projects as part of the Airport Capital Development Program. The Senior Engineer must possess in depth knowledge in the theories, principles, practices, and techniques related to civil, mechanical, structural, electrical, and/or geotechnical engineering, architecture, and capital project delivery.The ideal candidate will have a combination of training and experience equivalent to a degree university in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university and five (5) years or progressively responsible professional Civil Engineering experience, including at least two (2) years at the level of Associate Engineer or higher, preferably in an airport environment. AIRPORT MANAGEMENT INTERN
Department: Administration Work Location: Glacier Park International Airport/FMAA Pay Rate: $10/hr (full time/ temporary) Duration: 3 months (July – Sept.) with a 3-month extension (Oct. – Dec.) pending board approval Application Deadline: February 23, 2018 at 4:30 PM Mountain Time Program Description: This is a highly structured and selective internship program designed to give the incumbent experience in all facets of airport management including: Operations, Planning, Aircraft Rescue Firefighting, Security, Maintenance, and Administration. Work will include a combination of daily operational duties, rigorous training, emergency response, and comprehensive project work. The incumbent will have the opportunity to complete the ARFF 40-Hour Basic course and AAAE C.M. certification. The GPIA internship boasts a %100 job placement rate in the airport industry.
