AIRPORT DIRECTOR
The MBS Airport Commission is seeking an Airport Director to administer the overall operation of the MBS International Airport. Located in Freeland Michigan the airport has a $4.5 million annual operating budget and 25 full-time employees. The Director will report to a nine member independent commission and is required to plan, organize and direct the operations, business and maintenance activities of the airport. The ideal candidate should have a degree in aviation management or related field and at least five years management experience at a Part 139 airport. Accredited Airport Executive designation is preferred. Salary range is $129,000 - $141,000 DOQ with excellent benefit package. Must be able to obtain a Michigan driver’s license and pass a ten year fingerprint-based criminal history record check. AIRPORT OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR
Performs various duties at Tweed-New Haven Airport as dictated by operational requirements including but not limited: Perform airfield inspections and maintain records of all aeronautical areas including pavement, markings, lighting, safety areas, wildlife mitigation, construction, emergency equipment, and fueling practices. Responsible for snow removal operation and aircraft rescue and fire fighting on assigned shifts. Maintain and record aircraft activities during the assigned shift. AIRPORT OPERATIONS COORDINATOR II
Job Summary: Under the direction of the Assistant Airport Operations Manager, the Airport Operations Coordinator II ensures compliance with the Federal Regulation requirements of 14CFR Part 139 and 49CFR Part 1542.Complies with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) regulations that are required to operate a commercial airport. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Conducts daily inspections of airfield and airport facilities; ensures compliance Issues notices to airman (NOTAMS) when hazards exist and initiate closure of all or parts of the Airport if necessary Coordinates snow removal efforts on airfield and airport facilities Coordinates construction and maintenance of airfield projects Responds to incidents; in-charge until relieved by higher authority Prepares clear, comprehensive reports Coordinates matters of security and safety necessary for special operations Meets with airport users and/or tenants to resolve operational issues Trains and tests employees on “movement area” operating procedures Performs other duties as assigned.
