HOW TO APPLY: Email a letter of interest, resume and three references to Kevin.Meikle@fresno.gov by March 27, 2019 Fresno Yosemite International Airport (FAT) invites interested persons to apply for the Airports SMS Manager to implement and manage the Safety Management Systems program in compliance with Federal rules and regulations for FAT and the Fresno Chandler Executive Airport (FCH). The Airports SMS Manager is responsible for the overall implementation and management of the Safety Management System in compliance with Federal rules and regulations. Within guidelines set by the Director of Aviation and regulatory authorities/governing bodies, the incumbent plans and coordinates with all Airport divisions and tenants the details of the Airport SMS. In addition, this position is responsible for other aviation safety-related projects or programs as assigned. This is an unclassified position in which the incumbent serves at the will of the Director of Aviation.

Manage, administer, direct and market the Airport's properties, land and facility development. Involves: Oversee and coordinate the marketing, development and negotiation of ground and building leases for Airport land, office buildings, cargo facilities, parking facilities, hangers, and other related properties. Negotiate and interpret land and facility rental contracts/leases for new and existing land use determining rates based on size and use of space, location, responsibility for repairs and maintenance and terms of agreement. Manage and oversee complex real estate ground leases, and contracts for compliance with Airport policies and procedures including Federal, state and local laws and Federal Aviation Administration regulations, orders and standards pertaining to the development, use and management of airport properties. Coordinate appraisals of required property and land acquisitions. Inspect properties on a regular basis to ensure compliance with lease terms, Airport and safety practices.
