AIRPORT INTERNSHIP

PROJECT MANAGER - GEG

OPERATIONS SPECIALIST I
Louisville Regional Airport Authority is seeking motivated individuals to join our Airport Operations Team. This is an entry level position that manages the use of facilities at both Authority’s airports. Position assures continuous safety and security compliance with Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) Parts 77 and 139, Transportation Security Regulation (TSR) Part 1542, in addition to all other applicable statutes, regulations, and requirements. Duties include but are not limited to airfield/facilities inspections for unsafe or non-compliant conditions; monitor two-way radio communication, flight operations statuses, work order requests, security access control, CCTV systems etc. Additional duties are issuing airport ID media and providing fingerprinting services; implementing the Authority’s Snow/Ice Control Plan (SICP) and Wildlife Hazard Management Plan; supporting emergency responders during airport incidents; coordinating and monitoring airport construction activities; providing high levels of customer service in responding to questions and inquiries from the public, airport stakeholders, and/or governmental regulatory agencies.

AVIATION PROGRAM MANAGER
This position will report to and assist the Deputy Director as assigned in the performance of planning and programming airport improvement projects that will be funded with federal and state funds; work directly with airport sponsors to meet the Federal Aviation Administration’s standards, policies, and procedures; and administer various aviation programs.
