AIRFIELD OPERATIONS SPECIALIST

COMPUTERIZED MAINTENANCE SYSTEM COORDINATOR
This is technical administrative work in establishing managing and auditing ongoing comprehensive preventative maintenance and work order system. This position is responsible for the overall integrity and quality of the Facilities Department work order and asset database. The work requires knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (work order) and administrative principles and procedures of tracking projects. Contact with others requires courtesy, tact, and effectiveness in dealing with customers to request or provide information, ask questions or obtain clarification. The work is performed following established routines, procedures and standing instructions, and although patterned, some variation in the sequence and choice of procedures used is permitted based on situations encountered in the workplace. The work is performed under general supervision where the work assignments are varied and although subject to standard practices and procedures, the worker is permitted some latitude to set priorities subject to the supervisor’s approval.

GENERAL BUSINESS SPECIALIST
As a General Business Specialist, you will work with contracts and leases for various concessions and tenant services at either Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) or Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD). Performs general business functions related to concession contracts and tenant leases involving a variety of business operations, including airline facilities, food and beverage, retail, baggage carts, foreign currency and banking, public parking, rental car, taxicab, and other ground transportation, and the lease of Airport land for other development. Drafts solicitation documents, such as Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Invitations for Bid (IFBs), and Requests for Qualifications (RFQs). Negotiates or participates in the negotiation of terms and conditions for contracts and lease agreements with prospective concessionaires and tenants. Monitors contract and lease compliance and addresses any contract compliance issues and problems with the tenants, Supervisors and Senior Airports Authority managers.

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER (COO)
The position is responsible for the management of the Mobile Regional Airport and the Downtown Airport at Brookley; a general aviation facility, located within the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookely. Provide coordination among various departments and individuals necessary for effective and efficient operations, set priorities, establish sound management and leadership practices. Solve problems and conflicts among operating and support departments. Implement Board and Executive Director policies by interpreting and coordinating with staff. Direct broad range of institutional research, procedural and administrative studies and preparation of reports and recommendations related to same. Enforce Federal, State, and Local rules and regulations governing airport/airfield use and recommends modifications in existing rules and regulations. Collaborate with the Executive Director to initiate and direct the preparation of plans for airport expansion. Develop the annual budget; submit budget recommendations; and monitor expenditures.
