AEROSPACE (AVIATION MANAGEMENT), TENURE-TRACK FACULTY
The Department of Aerospace at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a tenure-track faculty position (#101050) at the rank of assistant/associate professor. Start date for the position is August 1, 2021. The successful candidate will be expected to teach classes in the Aviation Management concentration, undertake collaborative and multi-disciplinary research within the department and university, and be actively involved in university and professional service. Required are a Master’s degree in Aerospace, Aviation or closely related field by appointment date and three years progressively responsible experience in airport management, airline management functions (scheduling, marketing, planning), or FBO management. Candidates who possess significant industry or collegiate teaching experience and those with a doctorate or ABD in Aerospace, Aviation, Education, Business, or other industry-related field will receive special consideration.

AIRPORT DIRECTOR
The Missoula County Airport Authority is recruiting for an Airport Director. With general policy direction from the Airport Board, the Airport Director provides effective, professional leadership, positioning the airport to meet the community’s current and future air travel and general aviation needs. The Airport Director is responsible for the day-to-day management and operations of the airport, including long range planning, public safety, airport staffing, airport operations, airport security, airport rescue and fire fighting, construction, facility operation and maintenance, overseeing concessionaires, tenants and others involved in airport operations. The Missoula MT Airport is completing the first phase of construction of a two-phase new terminal construction project. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree with 7 years of progressive experience in airport management and AAE certification.

VICE PRESIDENT, INFRASTRUCTURE
Technical oversight of all engineering functions of a small to medium hub airport system. The primary responsibilities are small and large airport infrastructure planning and design, pavement evaluations, airfield pavement designs, site and facilities design, commercial and airport site development layouts, utility system design, and related services. Duties also include generating engineering reports, construction plans, preparation of project specifications, assembling permit applications and providing engineering oversight during construction.

The candidate must be able to be “hands on” and capable of diving deep into the details of the business while staying focused on the corporate goals and strategy. AVIATION PROJECT MANAGER
Manage engineering projects, including the scoping, design, schedule, budgets, resources, quality control, and client relations. Perform calculations and analysis for aviation and civil designs at aviation facilities utilizing FAA and GDOT design specifications. Serve as the point-of-contact for clients, including project planning, scoping, scheduling, and funding coordination; subcontracting and funding application; and coordination with FAA and GDOT. Lead the project team to provide deliverables and services on-time, within budget, and to the client’s satisfaction.
