05/18/18 MANAGER FLEET MAINTENANCE ESSENTIAL DUTIES: This class specification represents only the core areas of responsibilities; specific position assignments will vary depending on the needs of the department. Manages, delegates and reviews assigned work. Provides coaching and counseling, staff development and fitness, evaluates performance and applies organizational policies and procedures. Regularly reviews maintenance records for vehicles and equipment in order to assure quality in both craftsmanship and reporting. Directs and organizes the efficient and timely repair and maintenance of all airport vehicles and mobile equipment. Prepares and monitors the Fleet Department budget. Responsible for all contract management activities as documented in KCAB Policy 1014, Contract Management. As the subject matter expert responsible for all key aspects of contract management ensuring KCAB’s interests are represented in any business activities regarding the agreement.
