CHIEF ARFF - T.F. GREEN AIRPORT
SUMMARY: Direct all operations of the Fire – Rescue Unit at TF Green. Supervise compliance with FAA – FAR Part 139 regulations. Direct training program as required, adhering to guidelines in FAA Advisory Circulars. Prepare and administer departmental budget. Plan and Direct Mock Airport Disaster Drills and Table-Top exercises. Assist in planning airport participation in Homeland Security Drills and Table-top exercises. Prepare specifications for major purchases such as fire apparatus, personal protective equipment, uniforms, supplies, etc. Represent RIAC in meeting and planning sessions with outside agencies. Supervise all fueling operations and storage for compliance with FAR Part 139 requirements. Maintain compliance with current CBA between RIAC and Union. Respond to all airport emergencies and participate in mitigation of same, serving as Incident Commander and member of Unified Command Structure. Enforce NFPA, FAA, OSHA and state/local safety standards. Represent RIAC in disaster planning and response exercises/training. Prepare/administer department budget.
