DIRECTOR, COMMUNICATIONS
The San Diego County Regional Airport Authority (SDCRAA) is seeking a Director of Communications in the External Affairs division. The position is responsible for shaping public perception of SDCRAA and the San Diego International Airport. Managing this perception involves developing communication and media strategies, understanding the importance of timing and setting, responding to crises and setbacks, overseeing a team of diverse communications professionals and ensuring that information released is consistent with the overall Authority strategy. A successful candidate will be able to steward the Authority’s brand and deliver communications initiatives that promote visibility and partnerships. An ideal candidate will possess a four-year college degree and at least ten years of progressively responsible experience in public relations, media relations, communications and at least five of which were in a management capacity. DIRECTOR OF PLANNING & ENGINEERING - ROA
The Roanoke Regional Airport Commission is seeking a Director of Planning & Engineering for the Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport (ROA). This position is responsible for the strategic development and planning, coordination, implementation, management and maintenance of broad-based, multi-faceted marketing and communications strategies and development programs for the Airport. The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, planning, or a closely related field; a minimum of eight (8) years of professional experience in engineering design, engineering project administration and inspection, construction management, or airport planning, and a minimum of three (3) years as a project manager for construction or planning projects at one or more commercial service airports.Posting closes June 28, 2019.

OPERATIONS FACILITIES COORDINATOR
Responsible for assisting the Airport Manager in planning, organizing and directing administration of Westfield-Barnes Airport. Directly responsible for supervising and coordinating subordinate personnel in the operations and maintenance of the municipally owned airport. Assist the Airport Manager with the daily operational and administrative responsibilities. Reports directly to the Airport Manager. Performs duties requiring a high degree of individual initiative with indirect supervision. Operates the airport within guidelines established by Airport Commission policy, MassDOT law and FAA regulation, utilizing the parameters of good judgment and established business practices. The Position The Airport Planner supervises staff and performs duties that require technical expertise in the field of airport/aviation planning, environmental planning and design. An employee in this class works on complex environmental planning projects including the entitlement and clearance processes; works closely with other departments to environmentally clear new projects both on and off the airport campus; helps to develop mitigation and monitoring plans for projects; collects data and develops documents required to satisfy the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and helps develop strategy, guidelines and analysis for future projects. This position assists in the development of Requests for Proposals, helps develop cooperative agreements, memorandums of understanding or other agreements, represents staff at meetings to facilitate and implement planning projects, coordinates and disseminates information to various departments, agencies, organizations and the public as well as other duties.

COMMON USE COORDINATOR
Duties for the Common Use Coordinator function include a variety of day-to-day activities of airport terminal common use facilities to ensure optimum usage and service levels by tenants. Routine activities include the management of: airline scheduling, aircraft gate resources, passenger check-in counters, baggage carousel usage, and flight information displays. This position interacts heavily with airport operations, airlines, and vendors while collaborating with outside organizations, government agencies and command center staff. The Common Use Coordinator will manage the Airport’s Management System (AMS), analyze flight data, provide necessary reports, and input airline flight schedules for tenants utilizing the common use platform. Essential functions of the position include monitoring customer service and common use facility operations, working closely and coordinating all activities of the common use terminal systems, tenant and service contractor use. This coordinator position will assist in the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures to ensure efficient common use.
