AIRPORT ADMINISTRATOR
Plans, coordinates and manages the development, maintenance and operations of the City's International Airport to ensure compliance with City, state, and federal regulations. Position involves competing demands, performing multiple tasks, working to deadlines, occasional work beyond normal business hours, and responding to customer issues. On-call for emergency management twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week. Regular attendance is an essential function of this job to ensure continuity of services. Position functions primarily indoors with no notable hazards or adverse environmental conditions. Time spent outdoors is subject to all weather conditions, noise, debris, dust, hazardous chemicals, fumes and other related obstacles and hazards; travel to various locations involves exposure to traffic conditions. Position performs light physical work; frequent use of a personal computer and related office equipment; considerable flexibility to structure daily activities between sitting, standing and walking. Full-time, regular, exempt position.

AIRPORT PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICER
The Springfield Airport Authority is accepting applications for an Airport Public Safety Officer. This position is responsible for providing law enforcement, aircraft rescue and firefighting, emergency medical and airport operations services for Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport. Requires completion of 440-hour Basic Police Training Course and Police Officer Wellness Evaluation Report and certification from the State of Illinois as a Police Officer (current certification with the Illinois Local Law Enforcement Board may be approved). Within 9 months of hire, requires completion of 40-hour Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting Course, 40-hour medical first responder course, airfield drivers training, wildlife hazard management training and use of pyrotechnics. Requires familiarity with FAR parts 77, 139 and TSA 1500 series.
