AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL SPECIALIST, TOWER (FT/PT)
Provide air traffic control services for Mojave Air & Space Port in Mojave, CA. Provides, single-controller air traffic services within established priorities to aircraft arriving, departing, or conducting practice approaches at Mojave Air & Space Port. Maintains positive control of aircraft within MHV Class Delta airspace and coordinates with adjacent facilities to transmit and receive instructions and information relative to flight. Applies appropriate separation minima IAW applicable FAA publications. Alerts airport emergency crews and other designated personnel while handling unexpected events, emergencies, and unscheduled traffic. Provides current and forecasted weather phenomena to aircraft. Formulates and issues all ground movement instructions to aircraft, taxiing aircraft, vehicle operators, and personnel operating within the controlled movement area. Maintains and disseminates records of daily operations. Other ATC and/or airspace duties as assigned.

TELECOMMUNICATOR
Responsible for receiving emergency and non-emergency calls as well as monitoring various airport safety and security systems. Through interpretation of information received, responsible for determining appropriate allocation of resources and dispatching police, fire, operations and maintenance units as appropriate. Position requires multitasking in a fast-paced airport environment and the ability to maintain situational awareness at all times.

MAINTENANCE MECHANIC
Skilled Certified journeyman level work in the maintenance and repair of gasoline and diesel driven equipment. Work requires the performance of skilled tasks in mechanical repair and maintenance of automobiles, heavy duty trucks, tractors and other standard and special equipment in accordance with standard trade practices. Ability to complete certified mechanical training on repairs and maintenance on airport vehicles to include but not limited to snow equipment, fire apparatus, tractors, brush hog, etc. Must also be able to make emergency repairs and adjustments to a wide variety of heavy equipment, and to service and maintain assigned equipment. This job also may be required to perform routine maintenance work in the physical maintenance of the airport buildings and grounds. Completes daily part 139 inspections of runways and taxiway surfaces, lighting and signage to verify safety of airport operations and compliance with FAA standards.

AIRPORT OPERATIONS COORDINATOR I
Under the direction of the Airport Security and Operations Center Manager, the Operations Coordinator I provides centralized security and communications oversight for the airport while working in the 24/7/365 Airport Operations Center. The primary duties of this position include monitoring surveillance cameras, access points, alarms, energy management systems, weather-related equipment, phones, and radios. AOCs assist with terminal, TSA & FAA inspections, tests, and audits as well as assisting airport management on matters involving safety, security, and customer service. Acting as “Trusted Agents”, AOCs are responsible for viewing, recording, and processing background checks for airport badge holders. Promotion opportunities exist after 12 months of service.
