BWI - DEICING/RAMP MANAGER
Responsible for directing, coordinating, planning, assigning and assisting qualified personnel to perform deicing duties by minimizing delays and increasing productivity and efficiency. Ensures all employees are properly qualified on assigned equipment and assists with proper procedures, methods, and practices to be followed. Ensures all equipment, tools, and facilities are maintained in a serviceable and working condition. Responsible for ascertaining that all work requested by the customer is completed within the allotted time frame. Ensures training records are properly maintained and readily available. Ensure all safety policies are adhered to. Coordinates hiring/training and staffing needs. Ensures all deicing activity is performed in accordance with customer and ASIG. Reviews reports and all deicing related activity records. Ensures and monitors fluid inventory; makes sure equipment functions properly. Ensures all work schedules are adhered to, or provides adequate advance notice to the proper persons stating the reason for delay. Meets the Station’s attendance standards.

AIRPORT OPERATIONS SPECIALIST
This position is responsible for the daily operations of the airfield. A combination of education and experience will be considered in meeting the requirements of this position. Preference will be shown for a 4 year college degree in aviation or related field with a working knowledge of airport management under Federal Aviation Regulations, Parts 139 and 77, plus related FAA advisory circulars. Successful applicant must possess excellent communication, computer and customer relations skills. Position requires working as a team with other departments, airport tenants and the FAA. This position is considered a career progression position to Airport Duty Manager upon meeting certain performance and qualification requirements. AIRPORT PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICER
The Springfield Airport Authority is accepting applications for two (2) Airport Public Safety Officers. These positions are responsible for providing law enforcement, aircraft rescue and firefighting, emergency medical and airport operations services for Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport. Requires completion of 560-hour Basic Police Training Course and Police Officer Wellness Evaluation Report and certification from the State of Illinois as a Police Officer (current certification with the Illinois Local Law Enforcement Board may be approved). Within 9 months of hire, requires completion of 40-hour Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting Course, 54-hour emergency medical responder course, airfield drivers training, wildlife hazard management training and use of pyrotechnics. Requires familiarity with FAR parts 77, 139 and TSA 1500 series.
