AIRPORT COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALISTS - 2 OPENINGS
The Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority (RTAA) is seeking qualified candidates with experience operating telephone switchboards and/or radio equipment to interact with internal and/or external customers in a high-volume environment to join the Airport Communications team. Airport Communications Specialists report to the Airport Communications Supervisor and are primarily responsible for operating a multi-line switchboard phone system to receive incoming calls for service. These calls include -- responding to inquiries or requests for assistance from the traveling public, airport tenants, and/or employees; responding to emergency and non-emergency calls for service, such as police, fire, ambulance, and/or other emergency response. As the primary point of contact, Airport Communications Specialists are responsible for dispatching necessary and appropriate resources for a wide-range of scenarios through the use of a computer-aided dispatch system, two-way radio system, and/or a public-address paging system. Airport Communications Specialists are also responsible for monitoring CCTV, access control systems, and fire alarm systems.

AIRPORT OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR
Oversee and ensure the continuity of airport operations including the safe operation of air carrier aircraft, public safety, security, communications and passenger services. Involves: Monitor airport operations and provide guidance and direction to ensure compliance with safety and security requirements set forth by existing City, State and Federal regulations and standards. Inspect airfield to include runways, ramps and taxiways to ensure compliance with FAR Part 139. Investigate safety hazards and initiate corrective action for airfield and terminal discrepancies. Coordinate with air traffic control (ATC) for closing and opening air traffic movement surfaces as necessary. Maintain all records required by FAA for airport operating certificate. Issue Notices to Airmen (NOTAMS), weather advisories, and maintain daily log used to document airport activity for critical decision making. Enforce FAR Part 139, Part 77 and the TSAR 1540 series regulations to comply with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requirements.

We have an immediate opening for a Controls Design Engineer (CDE) & a Control Systems Engineer (CSE). The CDE will use AutoCAD and ePlan to develop hardware/software designs, general device layouts, detailed schematics, & panel layouts for control systems. The CSE will provide develop/evaluate system solutions, modify program/system logic, & travel to customer facilities to install, modify, & debug software. The CSE should have PLC programming experience with Allen Bradley and FactoryTalk View HMI Programming. Both positions require a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering.
