CHIEF AVIATION ADMINISTRATION OFFICER
Responsible for coordinating and overseeing a division within the City of San Antonio Aviation department. Areas of responsibility include strategic planning, employee training and development, fiscal planning and budget development, business development, information technology, customer service and public relations. Interprets, formulates, and implements policies and procedures. Plans and directs the administrative operations of the department. Oversees and directs the department's annual budgeting process. Oversees the development of financial reports. Oversees the financing of airport capital projects and grant administration. Oversees the department's compliance with all federal, state, and local finance and accounting regulations including those imposed by the FAA. Interviews, selects, supervises, develops, evaluates, counsels and disciplines personnel according to established COSA policies. Serves as liaison between the Department Directors, City departments, City Council, and outside agencies. Recommends and assists in the implementation of goals and objectives; establishes schedules and methods for providing effective services. Prepares department Directors for presentations, speeches, and official appearances.

AIRPORT OPERATIONS SPECIALIST
This position is responsible for assisting the Director of Airport Operations and the Operations Foreman in daily management of airport facilities, reviewing aeronautical conditions and making recommendations for operational safety.Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Conduct daily inspections of runways, taxiways, ramps and other aeronautical areas in accordance with Federal and State Aviation operational standards. Conduct wildlife management in accordance with BTV's Wildlife Hazard Management Plan; including the carrying and discharging of firearms, pyrotechnics and utilization of other wildlife management techniques. Make immediate and vital decisions affecting the continuation of air and ground operations during emergency conditions, construction, and snow removal operations in accordance with Part 139, 49 CFR 1542, and other applicable advisory circulars and security directives BA/BS in Aviation/Airport Management or related field required and six (6) months of experience as an Operation Specialist at a Part 139 air carrier airport preferred.
