AIRPORT CHIEF ENGINEER
A direct report to the Chief of Planning and Engineering, under administrative direction plans, organizes, and implements professional engineering, construction and architectural work at the Department of Port Control's Divisions of Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, Burke Lakefront Airport and the Division of Harbors. Directs the performance of professional and administrative Engineering and Construction staff for project designs, cost estimates, plans, specifications, and schedules for Engineering, Construction, and Architectural projects; provides technical oversight and inspection of work in progress through supervision of professional staff in these areas of work; monitors developments in equipment materials, techniques; program and construction management; project delivery systems; and value engineering in the three fields; Responsible for writing and compiling reports and other statistical information. Manages airport design construction and professional services contracts and consultants, as well as quality assurance and quality control methods in these practice areas.

AIRPORT SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM MANAGER
Develops, implements, and directs all facets of the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport Safety Program (SMS) to ensure compliance with standards and specifications mandated by FAA, DOT, EPA, OSHA and other governmental programs related to the Aviation industry. Responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and managing the day-to-day operations and performance of Airport SMS program.Analyzes, develops, and /or revises existing components of airport Safety Programs.Tracks safety recommendations, hazards, risks, findings, corrective actions, contributing factors and causes to ensure accurate reporting and follow up.Analyzes trends and statistics based upon SMS data and makes recommendations to executive staff as required.Assists in the development of budget and monitors expenditures. Performs other safety-related duties as required.
