AVIATION DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
You will: Direct the growth, planning and budgeting of near-term and long-term infrastructure investments at the five Port Authority airports. Plan and implement complex redevelopment programs (at JFK, EWR, LGA and AirTrain) aimed at modernizing the airport system •Lead cross-functional teams to implement major capital programs, planning, asset management, maintenance and environmental programs To Qualify: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Architecture, Minimum 10 years’ senior level project and program management experience in concurrent, complex, transportation infrastructure and technology projects, including knowledge of design, construction and procurement, Experience in developing complex, enterprise-level strategies and implementation plans to meet goals, improve processes and achieve business innovation, Experience interacting with the private sector, governmental agencies, and/or the community in situations, Experience planning, organizing and directing complex construction projects and activities, with significant project management and planning experience. AIRPORT OPERATIONS INTERNSHIP
Principal Responsibilities: Acting as airport management’s representative, you will assist in the enforcement of airport regulations and resolve problems/queries with established procedures and security protocols. Principal Duties: Assist the Operations department in the following: Airfield safety and security to include; identifying, preventing, and/or removing all hazards to aviation including FOD, wildlife, AOA incursions, unauthorized vehicle and pedestrian entry, and disabled aircraft. Oversee airfield construction to maintain a safe and efficient operating environment. Act as a liaison with Air Traffic Control, Morristown ARFF, and all responding agencies during airport emergencies. Assist U. S. Customs and Border Protection and Department of Agriculture officials during international arrivals, including the disposal of regulated cargo and marshalling of aircraft. Learn how to issue and record NOTAMS. Process tail numbers of transient aircraft for the collection of landing fees. Monitor and operate airport security cameras and gate systems. Any additional projects, tasks or duties as assigned.
