Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is seeking a client focused problem-solver to join our collaborative and innovative aviation team. This position could be based in either our Lexington or Myrtle Beach, SC office. Responsibilities include designing and leading aviation engineering projects; evaluating and analyzing existing projects; preparing reports, budgets, cost estimates, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, and permits; leading proactive client interactions and communications with regards to FAA programming and state and government agencies; performing QA/QC tasks; serving as the project manager and mentoring project staff. Travel will be required.

This role will primarily involve the oversight of income, cash flow, accounting, and financial practices across the organization. It involves close cooperation with managers across the enterprise to ensure high quality Operating Expenses and Capital Expenses (Opex/Capex) budgeting, capital planning, and meaningful management reporting. Management position over engineering and construction activities within the Engineering Department. Accomplishes project design for facility and infrastructure projects designated for in-house design. Manages, coordinates, participates in, and performs engineering, technical, and compliance inspections and reviews engineering projects and studies. The Facilities Maintenance Manager is responsible for supervising staff and managing airport-wide facilities operations. This involves: coordinating and monitoring work repairs; maintaining and monitoring preventative maintenance schedules; providing complex technical support; ensuring compliance with applicable safety practices; performing site inspections and monitors the quality of work to ensure project and operational compliance with internal and external safety regulations; assisting with budget preparation; approves expenses and prepare cost estimates; maintains financial records; reviewing and managing contracts, coordinating projects, which include: determining the scope, budget and qualifications on contractors, monitoring the schedule, quality and completeness of work; and related work as required. The Airport is a 24/7 operation. As a supervisor the position will prioritize and assign work; conduct performance evaluations; ensure staff are trained; ensure that employees follow policies and procedures; maintain a healthy and safe working environment; and make hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations.
