MDOT - STATE BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM SPECIALIST - TRANSPORTATION ENGINEER LICENSED SPECIALIST 13
This specialized position is responsible for the preparation and management of the State Block Grant Program (SBGP) and for allocating, administering, tracking federal funds, through state and federal processes for geographically assigned airports. This position serves as a technical expert responsible for the preparation and management of the SBGP and the development, submittal, and oversight of the Master Airport Capital Improvement Plans (ACIP) for the SBGP for the assigned airports. This position plans and evaluates the capital improvement project requests; secures and allocates federal and state funding to design and construct airport improvements. This position moves the project through planning, selection, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) application process, and Michigan Aeronautics Commission (MAC) approvals. Ensures FAA and MDOT program conformance from the beginning through final financial closeout and audit.
