DIRECTOR OF AVIATION
The City of Fresno is offering an exceptional opportunity for a high energy airport professional to serve as the Director of Aviation. This at-will (unclassified) position serves at the pleasure of the City Manager. Oversight responsibility of the Director of Aviation includes management of the airport systems that encompasses two airports: Yosemite-International and Chandler Executive. Oversight of staff includes providing leadership and guidance to 123 current employees. Responsibilities include managing and developing the airport system’s various functions including economic development, airport expansion, development and construction, airport operations, maintenance and servicing, airport safety and security, environmental protection, surface transportation, labor relations, and business management (vendors and concessionaires). In addition to managing and providing the overall direction for the airports, the Director is responsible for operation, capital projects, infrastructure needs, long-range planning, maintenance, and fiscal management.

AIRPORT FIREFIGHTER/OPERATIONS COORDINATOR
The Aircraft Rescue Firefighter/Operations Coordinator is an all-encompassing position covering Aircraft Rescue Firefighting and Airport Operation duties during your assigned shift, operating within established guidelines and procedures. Duties to include, but not limited to, emergency response to aircraft incidents, medical emergencies, and performing various inspections to ensure compliance regulations with federal, state and local requirements for commercial airports. Job Summary Professional work in the design, construction, inspection, and management of the Jacksonville Aviation Authority’s Capital Improvement Program. Work requires knowledge and understanding of engineering principles and practices, and applicable laws, environmental regulations and building codes.
