ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES · Coordinates and manages all operational activities of airport staff to ensure the safety and security of passengers, tenants, and employees; direct influence over the performance of all airport operational staff including terminals, security, airfield, baggage, parking facilities, remote property, and landside operations on a shift by shift basis.· Identifies potential problems and initiates corrective actions to minimize impact to the traveling public; coordinates resolution of issues with senior management, tenants, government officials, and other airport users; determines work priorities and deadlines; delegates to appropriate airport personnel to accomplish objectives.· Conducts a daily briefing with senior staff and shift briefings with all department management to provide critical information to all areas.· Coordinates scheduling, scope of work and safety issues with stakeholders on all construction and maintenance projects to insure minimal operational disruption; monitors all construction activity occurring in “active” terminals to address safety and customer satisfaction concerns.· Responds and manages the airport facility including the Emergency Operations Center during emergencies; coordinates support activities for routine and non-routine situations requiring the cooperation of federal, state, and local agencies.· Conducts safety spot checks of all Airport facilities; responds, assesses, and fixes security issues to prevent violations and fines as related to Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 1540-1542.· Represents the Airport Director and Senior Staff during emergencies; serves as the Senior Leader on duty and the Airport media spokesperson during off hours.· Manages special events including film shoots, VIP, Government Affairs escorts by notifying all stakeholders, providing consulate assistance, and coordinating activities.· Monitors and approves the use of common-use equipment including gates, checkpoint equipment, ticket counters, jet bridges, baggage handling systems, and baggage carousels to ensure critical equipment is available during irregular operations or emergencies.· Manages access to Special System Rooms (SSR) and sensitive support areas to prevent any unauthorized access; verifies tenant, maintenance, and construction crew credentials, tools, liquids, and materials to ensure compliance with security regulations.· Manages tarmac delay program to ensure compliance with Federal guidelines by interacting with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and airlines to provide alternate gates and/or bus operations; monitors ground transportation traffic flow to ensure sufficient resources for customers and help enforce provider compliance; and monitors AirTrain and BART services to ensure service levels and resolution of outages.· Coordinates daily with SFPD, Security Operations Center (SOC), security vendor, and TSA to ensure security procedural compliance and manage security events.· Directs the use of tenant communication tools including updates to Passur and Everbridge to provide routine and emergency information to airlines and other stakeholders.· Advises Communications staff during Airport critical events including content of each incident communication.· Monitors the efficiency of security checkpoint lines (line wait compliance), passenger screening equipment, queuing systems, and checked baggage equipment to support the airport’s goals and customer service expectations.· Coordinates with TSA and Law Enforcement to determine threat during security breaches and manages events including evacuation, facility searches, and re-screening.· Assists SFPD-AB with managing the transient program by actively monitoring facilities, admonishing individuals, signing citizen arrest forms, updating the Airport’s data file, and appearing in Court.· Responds to complaints from staff, airlines, tenant, concessions, and the general public to resolve concerns and support the Airport’s mission.· Monitors the issuance of Notice to Airmen (NOTAMS) to reflect changing airfield conditions and/or hazards to air traffic. Position Description Under administrative direction of the Terminal Systems, Signage, and Wayfinding Senior Manager, the Signage and Wayfinding Manager is responsible for the visual communication strategies through the airport which includes static and digital messaging signage and wayfinding. This Signage and Wayfinding Manager will lead, coordinate, and implement the SFO Wayfinding Guidance System, as well as work with the Wayfinding Program Manager in directing and coordinating all airport signage projects with airport tenants, design consultants, airline representatives, and airport management. This position will manage the Airport signage standards program in regards to customer wayfinding and placement of signage, which is vital to excellent customer service. The essential functions of this position include: Manages the signage and wayfinding program encompassing the visual communication strategies through the airport which includes static and digital messaging, signage and wayfinding; coordinates and maintains current terminal signage and airport maps with divisions, airlines, contractors, and government agencies including all operational changes (i.e. Airline moves, additions, deletions); analyzes wayfinding issues to identify deficiencies, develop solutions, and recommend changes. Works collaboratively across divisions to develop, monitor, and maintain airport signage standards and graphics programs to ensure all signage and informational displays are current, consistent and comply with established standards; serves as the Wayfinding System interface, managing and directing large multi-stakeholder teams; works collaboratively across divisions to develop and maintain airport signage standards to ensure a consistent and well-managed wayfinding program for the traveling public including post security maps in all terminals. In conjunction with the Wayfinding Program Manager, manages signage contracts for airport related signage projects by monitoring progress of projects, ensuring timely completion, and preparing necessary reports; coordinates with other airport departments, consultants or contractors to ensure timely and appropriate design, production and installation of airport signs. AIRPORT SECURITY MANAGER

EMERGENCY MANAGER
Under general supervision, provides strategic oversight for the Airport Emergency Plan, Hurricane Preparedness and Recovery Plan, IROPS, Snow Plan and the Terminal Incident Response Plan. Conduct exercises related to disasters, natural or man-made to include active shooter, tornados, fire, bomb threats and evacuation. Responsible for organizing Part 139 table-top/live exercise drills in conjunction with Airport Operations. The Emergency Manager is responsible for activating the EOC at the instruction of the Executive Director or his designee to ensure disciplines of Planning, Operations, Finance/Admin and Logistics specific to NIMS standards are in place and functioning within the EOC. Job Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Emergency Management or Homeland Security preferred. Accredited CEM or AEM designation in good standing or ability to obtain certification as a CEM or AEM within one year of hire date. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Airport Operations. Must be available to respond 24 hours a day and 7 days a week for emergencies. Serves as a conduit for Emergency Management with SEADOG. Ability to meet and maintain Transportation Security Administration requirements authorizing unescorted access entry to the AOA (Airfield Operations Area), sterile area, or secured area.
