AIRPORT DUTY OPERATIONS CHIEF
Under general direction of the Hartsfield – Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) Director of Emergency Management, the Airport Duty Operations Chief will be responsible for the maintaining full situational awareness of all facets of airport operation; implementing incident management processes to managing small, medium and large scale incidents; coordinating with first responders to ensure efficient and effective response processes; analyzing the impact of incidents and implementing the appropriate response protocols; coordinating with airport stakeholders to determine severity of incident impacts and making appropriate recommendations for recovery processes; making decisions that impact airport operations in the absence of the Senior Leadership Team; ordering resources required for the effective management of incidents.

Direct staff and overall operations of the Airport, seeking development and enterprise opportunities and maintaining compliance with FAA, TSA, and other airport related regulatory agencies. Develop and present policy/administrative recommendations to the Aeronautics Board, implement directives of the Aeronautics Board, and incorporate policy/administrative decisions of County administration. Develop and administer annual operating budget, strategic and business plans, and capital improvement initiatives. Negotiate and oversee administration of tenant and service provider contracts; assist with negotiations of employee labor agreements during collecting bargaining process. Liaison to federal, state, and local agencies, and other County departments. Serve as Secretary to the Aeronautics Board of Trustees.
