AIRPORT PLANNER
This is an entry level project management position in the Planning & Development Bureau of the Department of Aviation (DOA). Duties and responsibilities include effective management of projects to design, build and /or maintain airport facilities in a safe and efficient manner by assisting with management oversight of numerous consultant and construction contracts primarily executing work on the active airfield. This person will assist with coordinating approval of FAA 7460 – Notice of Proposed Construction or Alteration applications.

DIRECTOR OF FACILITIES AND CONSTRUCTION
Salina (KS) Airport Authority is hiring a key management position responsible for existing and future airfield, hangar and building improvements at the Salina Airport and Airport Industrial Center. Under the supervision of the executive director, the facilities and construction director is responsible for managing the development and construction phases on projects including both pavement & facilities. The facilities and construction director will have a high skill level utilizing AutoCAD and working with building and pavement construction plans and drawings. In this capacity, the facilities and construction director will coordinate projects and maintain effective working relationships with tenants, co-workers, the public, contractors, and regulatory agencies. The position will work closely with the manager of operations that oversees a staff of ten maintenance, ARFF, and operations personnel and the director of administration and finance that handles tenant lease agreements, project budgets, financing, and contract administration.

AIRPORTS LANDSIDE SUPERINTENDENT
FILING DEADLINE: 8-5-21 – 9-1-21 Reporting directly to the Airports Facilities Manager, the Airports Landside Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day administration and operation of the landside maintenance components of the Operations Section. Incumbent will oversee landside maintenance operations to assure compliance with Federal, State, and local requirements. Participates in the initiation of construction programs; coordinates and serves as a liaison with contractors working on the airport; oversees the repair and alteration of landside facilities to ensure the airport complies with FAA Part 139 and other regulatory guidelines; coordinates preventative maintenance, inspection, and repairs of the various Airport-owned buildings, and related equipment including baggage belts and conveyors, boarding bridges, etc. Incumbents use independent judgment to assign, supervise, inspect, and evaluate the work of custodial and maintenance crews as well as contract work and/or skilled trades work related to the landside areas. One current vacancy exists in Airports Department, Operations Division/Landside.
