AIRPORT LEASE MANAGER
The Airports Department Lease Manager (Administrative Officer II, classification code 0033) under general direction, performs complex lease negotiations; formulates lease policies and procedures; consults with legal counsel; supervises lease interpretations, maintenance, and enforcement. This position performs a variety of complex, difficult, and sensitive negotiations in a multi-jurisdictional environment, complicated by a variety of legal and political issues and relationships.Additionally, the Airports Lease Manager monitors leases to ensure compliance by conducting internal lease audits and monitoring current lease database management system related to record-keeping procedures of rental properties; updates property inventory, reports and manuals; administers commencement and expiration of leases, and concession agreements; updates lists of interested tenants; notifies tenants of adjustments in rental rates; oversees tenant location maps, exhibits or plans to reflect current status of assigned properties; coordinates internal notification regarding changes of tenancies and existing tenant operating parameter; reviews the status of insurance.Applicants must be willing and motivated to work in a complex environment with many variables and will be expected to perform some administrative duties, on occasion, to meet deadlines. The nature of this position may require some attendance at meetings after hours or on weekends. The ideal candidate will have successful prior management experience in commercial/retail leases for an airport and public agency property as well as experience with business and financial transactions. Incumbents in this position may receive an educational incentive of either 2.5% for an Associate degree, 3.5% for a Bachelor degree, or 5% for a post graduate degree that is not required to work in the classification. Incumbents may also be eligible for bilingual incentive depending upon operational need and certification of skill.

OEA provides 24-hour service through two full-service fixed base operators, rental car agencies, an FAA air traffic control tower, and has full instrument landing system (ILS) capability.
