AIRPORT MANAGER
The successful candidate will manage, direct, and coordinate the activities of the Cortez Municipal Airport. Some essential functions include preparing and monitoring budget, managing all activities including staff and equipment, write Colorado State Department of Aviation grants, maintain records for federal and state review, represent the Airport for FAA sponsored projects, conducts safety and security inspections per FAA and TSA guidelines, controls wildlife hazards on airfield, compose State mandated Stormwater Management plan, in charge of snow removal, acts as Airport Ground Security Coordinator, maintain Airport Security Manual, and supervises maintenance and improvements at the Airport. In addition, this position has responsibilities involving public relations activities working with Federal and State regulatory authorities and with users and lessees of the airport facilities.
