PROGRAM DIRECTOR, AVIATION POLICY

AVIATION MANAGER
Normal Work Days/Hours: Rotating shift. Conducts airfield inspections in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulation Part 139. Serves as incident commander for all aircraft emergencies, fuel spills, terminal & landside emergencies while coordinating with local/state/federal agencies. Monitors wildlife as outlined in the Airports Wildlife Hazard Managements Plan. Coordinates airfield & landside snow removal operations. Review construction plans for future construction projects, monitors construction projects for safety. Maintains FAA required documents: Airport Certification Manual, Airport Emergency Plan, Snow/Ice Control Plan, Wildlife Hazard Management Plan, SMGCS Plan & Security Manual. Responds to and resolves tenant requests. Issues notices to Airmen regarding airfield conditions. Monitors weather and coordinates notification to all tenants of severe weather. Coordinates evacuation of terminal buildings during severe weather threats/fire alarms Supervises on-duty Airport Operations Agents. Monitors airfield operations for safety to include perimeter inspections, monitoring of aircraft activities, tenant apron operations, fuel and fuel farm operations & environmental concerns.
