The Emergency Preparedness and Security Staff Specialist is primarily responsible for compiling regulatory data and implementing changes to the Airport Emergency Plan (AEP), the Airport Security Plan (ASP), associated procedures, and systems with direction from Airport Operations Division management. Duties include but are not limited to: Designing, organizing, and regular reporting of personnel training records which contributes to overall airport response readiness, Serving as a Trusted Agent with focus on in-person and telephonic customer service, Maintaining Airport issued ID badge operations; badged personnel records management; and Access Control System data reporting

Responsible for coordinating activities in AOA. --Inspects airfield, safety zones, clear zones, approach zones, terminal, perimeter; grounds for compliance with FAA/TSA Regulations, Airport Rules & Regulations, Airport Minimum Standards, leases and agreements. --Responsible for airfield safety to include: identifying, preventing and/or removing all hazards to aviation including FOD, wildlife, AOA incursions, unauthorized vehicle and pedestrian entry and disabled aircraft. --Liaison with ATC, ARFF and all responding agencies during airport emergencies. --Conducts daily and periodic safety and quality control inspections of aviation fuel storage facility. --Monitors and operates security camera and gate systems. --Knowledgeable of FAR's Part 139 and 77, as well as TSR 1542. --Conducts Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) training and issues NOTAMs when appropriate. --Recommends policy changes to correct reoccurring problems. --Performs related work as required.
