AIRPORT OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR
The Portland International Jetport is adding additional Airport Operations Supervisors to our growing team. Under the direction of the Operations Manager, this position plans, organizes, and supervises airside and landside operations on a rotating 24x7 schedule that includes nights, weekends, holidays, and being on-call. Responsibilities include the inspection of airside, terminal, and landside facilities. Other duties include coordinating airport construction, issuing NOTAMs, ensuring FAR Part 139 compliance, coordinating special events, enforcing environmental regulations, mitigating wildlife hazards, responding to emergencies, and other duties as assigned. Reviews and acts on matters involving safety, security, and customer service. Responsible for coordinating security/driver's training. Including a variety of skilled tasks in the maintenance and repair of buildings, hangars, grounds, streets, runways, taxiways, aprons, and lighting equipment at the airport. Operating snowplow equipment, tractors, mowers, and other mechanical equipment. Ensuring safe airport operations by conducting regular airport self-inspections, processing work requests, communicating operational issues with stakeholders, and responding to emergencies. Ensuring safe airport operations are coordinated during airfield construction projects.

Work is performed with considerable independent judgment while working within established policies and procedures under the administrative direction of the Airport Business Services Manager. Incumbent is expected to exercise considerable discretion and initiative in the performance and management of daily tasks. An employee in this job class assists with policy development, program development, project management, reporting and making recommendations based upon independent research findings.
