AIRPORT OPERATIONS SPECIALIST
This is an entry level position working with Airport Operations staff in maintaining the safety and security of the airport in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) Parts 107 and 139, and represents airport management in overseeing daily operations of the airport. Conducts airfield inspections, opens/closes airport movement areas as conditions warrant; issues Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs). Candidates must possess the ability to obtain all required security clearances. Shift work, weekends, and overnights are required, to include some weekends and call-back. A Bachelor’s degree in aviation management or business or related field with relevant aviation experience and/or a pilot’s license or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. The Aviation Department which operates the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and the North Perry Airport is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Emergency Management Specialist, Senior. This is administrative and supervisory work directing and coordinating functions of the Airport's Preparedness and Response programs. The Emergency Management Specialist, Senior will be working with Aviation Department employees, tenants, emergency responders, and emergency preparedness agencies including but not limited to: Aircraft Rescue Firefighting (ARFF), Airport Law Enforcement, County Emergency Management Division, Broward Health, American Red Cross, FBI, TSA, NTSB, CDC, Air carriers, FBOs and Rental car agencies.The primary responsibilities of the Emergency Management Specialist, Senior will be to assist in the development and updating of airport emergency plans, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), foster culture of emergency preparedness throughout and beyond the airport community, assist with conducting airport emergency training, assist with the design, development, and follow-through of discussion and operations based exercises.

AIRFIELD MAINTENANCE ENGINEERING PROJECT MANAGER
Major Duties and Responsibilities: This is professional engineering work in managing Airport projects through design and into construction administration for the Airfield Maintenance Division of Charlotte Douglas International Airport. Work involves managing engineering consultants in connection with the design, construction, operation and maintenance of Airport facilities, projects and programs. Work involves preparation of designs, plans and specifications, technical reports and applications. Work must meet legal obligations and is received on the basis of general and special assignments. Performance is reviewed by discussions, reports and results. Work requires public contact and the exercise of independent judgment and initiative within established rules and procedures.
