AIRPORT OPERATIONS OFFICER
Airside-Inspects airfield for compliance with FAA and TSA regulations pertaining to federal standards and requirements to ensure the operational readiness and security of the airport. Typical duties include: escorts aircraft and equipment, monitors construction on the air operations area to ensure compliance with local airport and federal aviation requirements, coordinates opening/closing of movement areas with ATC and airfield tenants to ensure safety of people and aircraft, other duties as assigned. Security-Inspects airport in compliance with TSA requirements, operates/monitors the Airport Access Control System, other duties as assigned. Landside-Inspects terminal areas, responds to passenger incidents, assists with terminal related security matters, other duties as assigned. Acts as liaison between the Department and the tenants to provide information and service to tenants regarding the use of airport facilities. Position may also conduct required training classes associated with 139 and 1542 duties and requirements. Applications accepted November 1 through November 14, 2017.

AIRPORT OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR
Performs various duties at Tweed-New Haven Airport as dictated by operational requirements including but limited including: Perform airfield inspections and maintain records of all aeronautical areas including pavement, markings, lighting, safety areas, wildlife mitigation, construction, emergency equipment, and fueling practices. Responsible for snow removal operation and aircraft rescue and fire fighting on assigned shifts. Maintain and record aircraft activities during the assigned shift. Represent the Airport Manager in routine operational matters. Coordinate construction and maintenance activities on or near the facility to ensure airport safety standards and maintain operational status. Maintain airport security standards of FAR Part 1542 and the Airport Security Plan. Assist the Airport Operations Manager in training and development of the operations staff. Responsible for individual assigned duties and special projects. Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Airport Terminal Building Complex. Assist in professionally answering the noise complaint phone, involving citizen complaints and compiling data.
