SAFETY OFFICER
Norman Y. Mineta San José International Airport (SJC) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Safety Officer (Senior Analyst) in the Director’s Office’s Employee Services Team. The Airport Training and Safety Division provides safety consultation and program administration to all Airport employees and tenants to ensure regulatory compliance and a safe working environment. This position is responsible for developing, implementing and managing the occupational safety program for the Airport. This position will analyze factors that influence employee safety and design and implement procedures and programs to control occupational and workplace hazards. This position will also be responsible for developing and managing the Airport's safety training programs and interacting with other Airport staff and tenants to ensure compliance and improve workplace safety.

ASSISTANT AIRPORT MANAGER
The Assistant Airport Manager reports to the Airport Manager and is responsible for providing skilled administrative management assistance in the day-to-day operational and maintenance activities of the Frederick Municipal Airport (FDK)—designated by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as a General Aviation Reliever Airport for BWI, Regan National and Dulles Airport. Under the policies set forth by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of The City of Frederick, the Assistant Airport Manager will assist the Airport Manager in planning, organizing, and executing Airport administration, financial, operational, maintenance, and public relations tasks along with a variety of other duties as assigned. The Assistant Airport Manager should have knowledge of airport funding requirements, general aviation operations, airport design criteria, maintenance management and recordkeeping, pavement maintenance, airport signage and lighting systems, applicable FAA regulations and Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR), airport licensing requirements, security best practices, emergency and disaster preparedness, construction management, snow removal, and grounds maintenance. The Assistant Airport Manager monitors and oversees the safe and efficient management of City personnel, vendors, and contractors who perform work on airport facilities and property.

AIRPORT OPERATIONS OFFICER
Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the Operations Officer is responsible for coordinating airport operations during his/her assigned shift. Tasks include, but are not limited to, monitoring of airport security equipment, answering telephones and radios, dispatching personnel to routine and emergency calls for service, monitoring and reporting airport conditions, and conducting airfield inspections and security patrols.
