DIRECTOR OF COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT - JAN
The Jackson Municipal Airport Authority is seeking a Director of Commercial Development who will be responsible for the Air Service Development, Properties Management, and Commercial Development related initiatives for the Jackson Municipal Airport Authority (JMAA). The duties are complex and require considerable initiative, organization, and independent judgment with minimum supervision. Specifically, the successful candidate will focus on business initiatives related to growing air service offerings and all airport revenue areas, which includes airlines, airport concessions and rental car activities, general aviation activities, parking, and ground transportation, commercial properties /real estate development, FBOs and cargo. CHIEF COMMERCIAL OFFICER - JAN
The Jackson Municipal Airport Authority is seeking a Chief Commercial Officer who will be responsible for developing the strategy and direction in the areas of air service development, marketing, customer service, commercial development, concessions and property management for the Airport Authority at its Jackson Medgar Wiley Evers (JAN) and Hawkins Field Airports (HKS). The executive will guide and contribute to the formulation and execution of the Airport Authority’s communications plan, public information and community programs, and both aviation and nonaviation revenue programs. The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Administration, Aviation Management plus significant (8-10 years plus) career experience including a senior leadership role. PROJECT INSPECTOR
SUMMARY: Under general supervision, provides Resident Project Representative (RPR) services for Airport construction projects in accordance with the project construction plans and specifications. In addition; assures Airport wide environmental regulation compliance, conducts periodic inspections of Airport stormwater and utility facilities, updates Airport GIS/CAD files, and general assistance with project management of Airport’s Capital Improvement Program. Participates in review of engineering construction plans and specification stage submittals. Conducts daily construction progress inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications. Reviews quantities and pay application with contractor prior to submission to Airport’s Project Manager. Familiar with construction material testing on lime rock, shell, concrete, and asphalt used by contractors in construction of airfield improvement projects to ensure compliance with project specifications. Reviews change orders to construction projects and makes recommendations for approval/disapproval to the Project Manager, as necessary. Provides input as to progress and/or problems to contractor, engineer and Project Manager.

AIRPORT PLANNER
Airport Planner City of Tallahassee, Aviation Department Apply on or before 5pm EST 12/13/2019 Salary Range $20.15 to $46.16/hourly. Hiring rate generally will not exceed $34.65/hour Essential Job Duties Development, implementation and management of TLH’s various planning studies, and the Airport's Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Conducting planning research and technical work related to airport operations, airspace analysis, and land-use compatibility. Possess and maintain current knowledge about FAA and FDOT processes and procedures, including but not limited to the Airport Improvement Program, associated FAA Advisory Circulars, Grant Assurances, Airline Operating Agreements, and Airport Master Plans. Assisting the Airport Engineer and other Airport division managers as needed on other related Airport projects and work, particularly those related to development issues. Excellent communication and problem resolution skills are essential to this position needs of the department. Performs related work as required.
