AIRPORT OPERATIONS OFFICER
The Airport Operations Officer is primarily responsible for coordinating and conducting inspections of airport facilities and grounds; assisting in maintaining positive tenant relations; coordinating snow and ice removal efforts; monitoring construction activity for compliance with applicable safety rules and regulations; administering the airport security program; composing and disseminating official notices on airport conditions (NOTAMs); responding to citizen complaints or inquiries verbally and in writing; and coordinating work activity of staff. Work duties require frequent contact with various City personnel, general public, vendors, contractors, and outside agency personnel to obtain or provide information concerning operations, programs, and projects. Employees in this classification primarily function independently, with work product subject to review by supervisor.

DIRECTOR, AIR SERVICE DEVELOPMENT
This is a professional position primarily responsible for developing, promoting and marketing air service to Palm Beach County. Works directly with the Air Carriers/Airline network in an effort to initiate more flights from PBIA, especially to new markets. Prepares, analyses and presents airline data. Formulates and oversees efforts to influence increased air service to PBIA including domestic, charter-international/domestic and scheduled international service. Interfaces with the local business community, airport public relations, community affairs, media and tourism marketing departments to ensure all new carrier services and related information reaches all segments of the public and industry domain. Works closely with the Deputy Director, Airports Finance and Administration, to ensure airport facilities usage charges are reasonable as compared to competitive airports. AIRPORT PLANNER
The Airport Planner supervises staff and performs duties that require technical expertise in the field of airport/aviation planning, environmental planning and design. An employee in this class works on complex environmental planning projects including the entitlement and clearance processes; works closely with other departments to environmentally clear new projects both on and off the airport campus; helps to develop mitigation and monitoring plans for projects; collects data and develops documents required to satisfy the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and helps develop strategy, guidelines and analysis for future projects. This position assists in the development of Requests for Proposals, helps develop cooperative agreements, memorandums of understanding or other agreements, represents staff at meetings to facilitate and implement planning projects, coordinates and disseminates information to various departments, agencies, organizations and the public as well as other duties.
